The Frogs Make It Official
Yesterday, and the temperature hit near 70 degrees, the pond behind the neighbors began to burble with the sound of frogs. Yup, it's official , albeit one day early, spring is here. Adding to the cacophony, cardinals sang from nearly every treetop, vying for space. But the biggest voice from the birds, is the little Carolina wren, singing his heart out, flitting from the fence to the rooftop.

Yep, walking with the dog last night, I heard the spring peepers- spring has sprung around here (although it was hard to miss with the weather this past week...and from what I've seen on weather forecasts, not so good for snow-packs up north (rain). I guess it may be time to put away the skis....
ReplyDeleteActually, these were not peepers, but the grey tree frogs--no peepers yet!
