5 years later....that time again

What a crazy winter it has been...snow, frigid, frigid weather, rain, snow, rain, and tomorrow, a record high of 70 degrees. I managed to get out on the cross country skis twice during the arctic blast--the best local skiing I've had in years. So here I sit, in the garage, boiling sap, yet again.

I haven't ridden my horse in 2 months due to the ice buildup on the trails, but maybe after tomorrow, the trails will have melted enough. Harley's winter vacation will end and mine will begin, albeit a few days later after chores, chimney fixing, laundry, wall papering, house cleaning, etc. etc. I can't remember when I last had a vacation that didn't incorporate lots of labor and limited fun!

As spring approaches, so does my deadline for getting the house ready for the real estate market. John and I continue hunting for a "farmette", but nothing in our price range seems available. All the affordable places are in Vermont! My new motto is "Vermont, or bust!"
